Plum Charcuterie Board #8This unique charcuterie board is made from Niagara plum that has been salvaged from a Niagara orchard. It is irregular in shape, grain pattern and colour. This board has been cut to a roughly rectangular shape with a bit of live edge remaining. I have done my best to match the colour of the wood in the photographs, but it is hard to duplicate online the deep red, yellow and purple colours in the wood. The swirling grain pattern in unique to fruitwoods

The cookie is flattened and all cracks are filled with epoxy

This board is also available in a 32"x8" version

They are also available with a plain glass tealight holder

When the farmer making maple syrup drills a tap hole in a sugar maple tree to get to the sap

I include a small brass washer under each rubber foot

Because this is natural wood

This large elegant platter is made up of a single extra-wide reclaimed wine barrel stave formed into a graceful upturned platter on a stand

but it is hard to duplicate online the yellow/orange peach colour

Most of the time the trees are bulldozed in a pile and burned in the fields for their ashes nourish the next crop
