2007 Riesling, Clos Saint Urbain, Rangen de Thann, Grand Cru, Domaine Zind-Humbrecht, AlsaceThis smells as if it might be a late harvest style wine, but actually its properly dry on the full bodied and very crisp palate. A most unusual balance, but I find that very exciting. Long, driving finish in which a note of caramelized pear is interwoven with the flinty acidity.
